Co-Founder of Red Feather Financial, Dr. Sabrina Scott Talks About Cultivating An Understanding of Financial Planning In Young Children

Dr. Sabrina Scott ruminates about preserving the earth’s valuable assets which evolved into thoughts about Mother’s Day and how mothers can cultivate an understanding of financial planning and wellbeing in children at a very early age.

DECATUR, GA, April 23, 2018: Dr. Sabrina Scott, co-founder of Red Feather Financial, has posted a new blog on the firm’s website entitled “Thoughts About Mother Earth, Motherhood And Cultivating Financial Planning.” Dr. Scott shares thoughts that could potentially lead to more financially responsible adults.

Dr. Scott writes, “You simply cannot get through the month of April without becoming aware that this is the month in which the world celebrates our beautiful planet Mother earth.” She continues adding, “Now, I’m not exactly what you would call a tree hugger, but I do understand assets, whether they are the natural assets that come from the earth or those assets that we work hard to earn and want to preserve so we have enough of them to live comfortably when we retire.” She emphasizes, “I’m all for protecting and preserving assets, both natural and financial.”

“This thought led me to another celebration that happens next month,” says Scott. She elaborates, “In May, we celebrate the mothers who brought us to this planet, who nurture us and care for us until we can take care of ourselves. I thought about my own role as a mother and, as mothers are constantly doing, I wondered how I could be better at the job.”

According to Scott, “Children learn about money and finances by watching their parents, especially mom, because mom is buying the food and taking care of the day-to-day business around the home.” Scott shares, “I didn’t learn about finances from my parents as a child. I did get an allowance that I had to use with great discretion.”

About Dr. Sabrina Scott

Sabrina Scott learned about Veterans Benefits and Medicaid when her parents sought legal services for long-term care. Confident she could find ways to preserve her family’s resources and still get access to Government Assistance, Sabrina felt there should be more options than relying on welfare. As a result, Dr. Scott became an investment advisor representative who can make recommendations regarding securities and became licensed in insurance as well. She co-founded Red Feather Financial with Victoria Collier to help those who want to have a plan in place in order not to outlive their resources and who do not want to be a burden to their children.
