Sabrina Scott, Co-Founder of Red Feather Financial Encourages People To Reach Out For Help Regardless of Age.

Dr. Sabrina Scott reveals the average age of clients at Red Feather Financial and helps dispel fears about not being able to create a viable financial plan even at an advanced age.

DECATUR, GA, September 20, 2018: Dr. Sabrina Scott, co-founder of Red Feather Financial, has posted a new article on the firm’s website entitled “It’s Not Too Late for A Financial Plan Even If You’re No Spring Chicken.” In the article, Dr. Scott encourages readers to act despite the fear that they may be too old to create a viable financial plan.

Dr. Scott writes, “The average age of prospective clients coming to Red Feather Financial inquiring about financial planning is 72 years old.” She continues adds, “They always ask, “Am I too old to make a financial plan that will make a difference?”  “Am I too old to quality for long-term care insurance?” “Is it too expensive?”  They are filled with questions and doubts about the opportunities for creating a viable plan at such a late stage in life.”

According to Scott, “Some of our older clients also come to us for the first time with a recent diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s or MS and wonder if it’s too late to do anything.” Scott writes, “Our answer is typically the same: “No. You are the average age of most clients who come to us for the first time.” Typically, there are always options for long-term care insurance even with an early diagnosis.”

“The sense of relief these clients experience,” says Scott, “is palpable over the phone. When they arrive, and we begin to explore their options, something almost magical happens. They begin to exude a newfound sense of confidence.”

As Scott points out, “This just goes to show you that more often than not people put off financial planning until the last minute.” She elaborates further, “Typically, clients will come to us with 401k or IRA savings and nothing else. Even if there is a retirement plan in place, very often it doesn’t include long-term care.” She emphasizes, “We will always encourage financial planning sooner rather than later, but no matter when you begin, it’s better to have a plan than not have one.”

“Regardless of when you begin, we will look at the entire picture,” Scott says, adding, “Typically, we can provide a plan that will include income for life, asset protection and long-term care. Our objective is to help our clients feel safe and secure in their long-term care plans.”

About Dr. Sabrina Scott

Sabrina Scott learned about Veterans Benefits and Medicaid when her parents sought legal services for long-term care. Confident she could find ways to preserve her family’s resources and still get access to Government Assistance, Sabrina felt there should be more options than relying on welfare. As a result, Dr. Scott became an investment advisor representative who can make recommendations regarding securities and became licensed in insurance as well. She co-founded Red Feather Financial with Victoria Collier to help those who want to have a plan in place in order not to outlive their resources and who do not want to be a burden to their children.
